Novedo invests in acquisitions in Germany – appoints experienced Daniel Kral as Head of M&A
Novedo has a clear growth strategy within the Group's three business segments Industry, Infrastructure and Installation & Services, segments that over time are intended to grow to equal sizes. The company sees continued good growth opportunities in Sweden but also has an active acquisition agenda outside Sweden's borders.
Germany has a long tradition of successful small and medium-sized companies (German Mittelstand) consisting of well-managed entrepreneur-led companies with established strong niche positions and Novedo sees good growth opportunities in the German market through both stand-alone acquisitions and bolt-on acquisitions to existing subsidiaries within the Group.
To lead Novedo's acquisitions in the German market, the company has appointed Daniel Kral as Head of M&A Germany. Daniel holds a degree in Business Administration from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany and has studied at Åbo Akademi University and Turku School of Business, Finland. Daniel has more than 15 years of experience in M&A and corporate finance, most recently in the role of Head of M&A at the stock-listed industrial group GESCO SE. Prior to that, he was a partner at M&A-boutique Markus Partners in Frankfurt and previously gained experience in M&A and corporate finance from different roles at Silvia Quandt, Rothschild and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.
"Daniel Kral has a very relevant background and experience and is a person with good values, which is always most important for Novedo. Daniel is an excellent person to lead the M&A activities in the German market", says Per-Johan Dahlgren, President & CEO of Novedo.
"All of Novedo's business segments are well suited for the German market, but my initial focus will be in the industrial business segment, which is natural given Germany's significant number of high-quality industrial SMEs, many of which are facing succession planning," says Daniel Kral Head of M&A Germany, Novedo’s business model based on core values such as mutual trust and respect, strong professionalism, healthy corporate culture as well as a focus on customers and employees are a great match with the SMEs in Germany. This will be a great fundament for Novedo to establish a strong position in the German Mittelstand.
Daniel Kral will take up his position on June 1, 2023, and will be based in Frankfurt, Germany. Daniel reports to Novedo's President & CEO Per-Johan Dahlgren.
